Please take a moment to read this, it means a lot to me!This picture is of my grandma and I in 2000. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in July that year and began treatment for it the following month. To this day I remember my mom sitting me down on my bed to deliver me the news. Even though I was only 6 years old I knew all too well the severity of the situation, and it crushed me.
She had surgery and a tumor the size of a basketball was removed from her ovary. 6 months of chemo and 5 years of checkups later she was deemed cancer free. She lives happy and healthy to this day, and my family and I are so blessed to still have her with us.
Now as a 19 year old college student and athlete I participate in the Relay for Life in hopes that someday we can find a cure, and that no child will have to be sat down and told such devastating news.
If you could pay a visit to my Relay page
HERE
and possibly make a donation of any size I would be grateful beyond words. You can also read more about her story there. If not I would appreciate it if you could reblog this so that as many people as possible can see this.
I also promise to follow everyone and anyone who reblogs this! One easy follower!

Thank you so much :)
